Dr. Michael LaFerla
Dr. LaFerla is proud to be the first board-certified orthodontist in the Joplin area. He became a Diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontics after completing the necessary requirements of oral and written exams, case studies, and extensive research.
Originally from St. Louis, Dr. LaFerla moved to Carthage when he was in grade school. After graduating from Carthage High School in 1985, Dr. LaFerla began his journey toward becoming an orthodontist, and he is still creating smiles with style right here in Joplin!

I love being an orthodontist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and the friendships that I have built with my patients and their families are priceless. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at-home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve and the smile they have always dreamed of.
I am so fortunate to be able to live and practice in my hometown.
